ACTivator Served the 8th International Academy of CIO Annual Meeting and Forum

On September 23 and 24, the 2013 Peking University E-Government International Seminar and the 8th International Academy of CIO Annual Meeting and Forum was held by International Academy of CIO(IAC)  and Academy of E-Government, Peking University.

 

A total of 70 people attended this meeting, including members of IAC, experts on E-Government from America, Japan, Russia, Thailand and other countries and regions, as well as information officers from Chinese central government ministries and local government who have long been engaged in the construction and management of E-Government.

 

This year’s meeting is themed the construction of E-Government and smart city in the era of innovation 2.0. Participants conducted warm discussion and exchange with each other on issues such as the application of big data and cloud computing in E-Government, global aging and aging society’s informatization, management of Smart City, the concept and the establishment of appraisal system of new E-Government and the building of information security system. Scholars and officials from America, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Finland, Thailand, Russia, Macau United Nations University, Taiwan E-Governance Research Center, Information Center of China National Committee on Ageing, E-Government Research Center of Chinese Academy of Governance, and Beijing Municipal Bureau of City Administration and Law Enforcement’s Information Center of Science and Technology gave wonderful lectures on different issues. Among the lectures, open data construction in public transportation by Japan, design of e-government service by Singapore, and smart city management from Beijing captured a lot of the attention and prompted heated discussion.
