Activator’s Another Appearance at MPA-BFM Film Workshop

Apr. 18th saw the grand opening of Beijing Film Market Film Workshop, jointly hosted by Motion Picture Association (MPA), The One Film Fund (TOFF) and Beijing International Film Festival · Film Market (BFM). Wang Liping, Under Secretary General of Beijing International Film Festival, announced the initiation of the ceremony, and delivered opening speeches together with Frederick Huntsberry, Chief Operating Officer of Paramount Pictures Corporation, and Zhang Xun, President of China Film Co-production Corporation. Their remarks were followed by a panel discussion featuring Carlos Saldanha, Director of Ice Age 2, Ye Ning, Vice President of Wanda Culture Group, Andre Morgan, Producer of Perhaps Love, Ellen Eliasoph, President of Village Roadshow Pictures Asia, Harris Tulchin, an entertainment lawyer, and Tracey Trench, Creative Director of Oriental Dreamworks. TOFF Operation Director Ding Hong and Executive Director Yue Xiaomei also attended.

 

The workshop featured a gathering of film makers and executives from all over the world and a brainstorming of present and future masters. Experienced and promising Chinese talents received on-site guidance from industrial tycoons at home and abroad and saw a remarkable progress in  their screenwriting and directing skills. They were entitled to firsthand learning and sharing without ever leaving the country.

The workshop was also highlighted by specialized master-class lectures and pitch competitions. Activator once again received high recognition from the hosts for its outstanding interpretation services and adequate preparation.
