On October 23, the Motion Picture Association (MPA), with support from the Embassy of the United States of America to China, presented the 2013 U.S.-China Film Industry Innovation and Creativity Forum in Beijing.


In his opening address, the U.S. Ambassador to China, Gary F. Locke, gave an overall introduction to the audience of the American film industry. Michael C. Ellis, MPA’s Asia-Pacific President and Managing Director, and Frederick Huntsberry, COO of Paramount Pictures Corporation also made their keynote remarks where they shared with almost 100 participants their countries’ experience in film industry concerning issues on the innovation and cooperation of films between the U.S. and China and the protection of intellectual property rights (IPR).
